Two new fights have been added to the UFC Fight night 173 event on June 20th in Las Vegas.
The first of the additions sees grizzled UFC veteran Clay Guida going up against Bobby Green in the lightweight division.
Guida was last seen back in August of last year, where he suffered a 58 second guillotine choke loss to Jim Miller.
Only a few months earlier Guida had claimed a decision victory over BJ Penn, while overall he’s gone 3-2 since returning to lightweight in 2017 following a lengthy stint at featherweight.
As for Green, he has suffered two unanimous decision losses in a row against Drakkar Klose and Francisco Trinaldo, with his last win coming back in early 2018 when he won on the scorecards against Erik Koch.
The second fight signed for UFC Fight Night 173 sees another established veteran Jim Miller squaring up to rising contender Roosevelt Roberts in what’s billed as a 160lb catchweight fight.
As mentioned earlier, Miller actually secured a win over Guida last year, but since then he’s lost out by unanimous decision to Scott Holtzman.
Roberts is on a two-fight winning streak, starting with a unanimous decision victory over Alexander Yakovlev, while just under two weeks ago he submitted Brok Weaver to go 4-1 overall so far in the UFC.
Guida vs. Green and Miller vs. Roberts joins a UFC Fight Night 173 card that’s set to be headlined by heavyweight action as Curtis Blaydes locks horns with Alexander Volkov.
