A featherweight fight between Clay Guida and Dennis Bermudez has been added to the UFC On FOX 12 event in San Jose on July 26th.
Guida earned both a victory and a ‘Fight Of The Night’ bonus last time out at UFC Fight Night 39 in Abu Dhabi against Tatsuya Kawajiri which leaves him 2-1 in his featherweight campaign so far and ranked at No.7 in the division.
Bermudez has been on a tear in the division, racking up six victories in a row. With that in mind it’s perhaps a little surprising that he’s only ranked No.10 in the division, so a win over a well known star like Guida would be a perfect opportunity for him to really make his mark.
As things stand a main event hasn’t yet been confirmed for UFC On FOX 12, with the biggest bout announced so far being Antonio Rogerio Nogueira Vs Anthony Johnson.
Josh Thomson Vs Michael Johnson is also expected to be on the main card, and there’s a good chance Guida Vs Bermudez will join them. or at least take the featured prelim spot.
