It’s been a hectic few months for Conor McGregor, spending months training in Las Vegas for his interim title shot with Chad Mendes, winning the belt and then going straight into coaching TUF 22 opposite Urijah Faber and late last week continuing to ruffle feathers during a show-stealing appearance at the UFC’s ‘Go Big’ press conference.
‘The Notorious’ has now completed his obligations though and has had a chance to fly back to his native Dublin to be with his friends and family before preparations begin for his next blockbuster battle with Jose Aldo at UFC 194 in December.
“I’m just happy to be home,” McGregor says. “I look forward to seeing my mother, my father, my family, my dogs, my girlfriend, my friends. I’m just enjoying this. This is what it’s for. This is where all the sacrifices work – when you can come home and show what you have done.”
