If Conor McGregor is struggling to come to terms with his loss to Nate Diaz at UFC 196 then he’s doing a good job of hiding it in his latest social media posts.
In one post he’s pictured eating steak in the back of his Rolls Royce alongside the caption, “I love memes,” a reference to the sea of amusing posts on the internet making fun of the featherweight champ since his submission loss a week ago.
“I don’t say hard luck, I say well done,” McGregor wrote in another post. “It was a heck of a fight. A heck of a cheque. And a heck of a party afterwards. #YoungSuccess”
McGregor had claimed pre-fight that he was set to earn more than $10 million for his fight with Diaz, and with Dana White claiming that the event had delivered a whopping 1.5 million PPV buys it may even have exceeded even ‘The Notorious’ Irishman’s expectations.
As things stand it doesn’t appear that McGregor will just sit back and enjoy the fruits of his labor as White confirmed that the star has targeted a return to action at UFC 200 in July, though his opponent is still to be confirmed.
