Conor McGregor was asked whether he’d be interested in a rematch with Nate Diaz during an impromptu interview on the street with TMZ, and the featherweight champion indicated that it was something that is on his radar.
“I think I’d like to see that, yeah” McGregor said of a potential second fight with Diaz. “I mean, it’s one that interests me, most certainly. You know, when I look at the fight I was winning the fight. I won the first round and a half, I feel. I’d love to get that one back. We’ll see how it goes. Money talks. Life is good.”
That doesn’t necessarily mean that’s what’s next for McGregor however as he’s previously indicated that he now has his eye on moving back down to featherweight to defend his title there.
Just a few days Dana White also confirmed that McGregor is all set to compete at UFC 200 in July, and whoever they end up pairing ‘The Notorious’ Irishman with it sounds like he’s eager to get back into the Octagon and return to winning ways.
“I’m ready to go again,” McGregor said. “I had a great time. It was a good fight, a hell of a fight. I look forward to coming back with a vengeance.”
