Cory Sandhagen TKO’s Marlon Moraes With Spectacular Head Kick At UFC Fight Night 179

Cory Sandhagen produced a stunning second round TKO finish against Marlon Moraes in the main event of a memorable UFC Fight Night 179 card.

Round One:

Leg kick exchanged at almost the same time. Winging overhand from Moraes misses. KIck for Sandhagen and Moraes almost catches it.

Leg kick for Sandhagen. Moraes misses on a leg kick. Moraes misses with another overhand. Solid leg kick for Sandhagen and then another. Big leg kick from Moraes.

Hard right hand from Moraes. He lands it again. Sandhagen with a leg kick. Left hand for him. Nice uppercut for Sandhagen. Back to the leg kick.

Body kick for Moraes. Leg kick for Sandhagen that Moraes tries to catch. Overhand just misses again from Moraes.

Nice body punch from Sandhagen. Jumping knee from Sandhagen misses and Moraes tries to counter it with punches.

Moraes with a head kick attempt. Jab from Sandhagen. He throws two punches and a kick behind it. Inside leg kick for Moraes.

Spinning body kick from Sandhagen misses. Moraes with a spinning backfist that comes off the guard. Solid uppercut from Sandhagen.

leg kick from Sandhagen, but its checked. Solid punch for Moraes. Nice punch and spinning backfist from Sandhagen. Moraes with a more powerful spinning backfist.

Sandhagen with a powerful body kick. He lands it again. Nice knee to the body from Sandhagen and a counter lands for Moraes.

Again Sandhagen with a body kick, but this time Moraes catches it and lands a takedown. He’s in half-guard, but it’s the final 10 seconds and he isn’t able to get anything done in that time.

Round Two:

Leg kick exchanged like the start of the first round. Left hook and jab combo from Sandhagen. Front kick to the body from Sandhagen.

Sandhagen threatens with a head kick attempt. Sandhagen shouts out that Moraes orbital bone is broke.

Sandhagen with a spinning wheel kick and it connects to the top of Moraes’ head and sends him falling backwards and he rolls to his knees, at which point Sandhagen lands a few more punches that seals the TKO stoppage.

Huge win from Sandhagen and a great highlight-reel finish at 1.03mins of the second round. Great way to end a night full of exciting finishes.
