Cris Cyborg Punches Angela Magana At UFC Fighters Retreat; Police Called

The UFC’s Fighters Retreat in Las Vegas this past weekend ended on a disastrous note when a verbal altercation between Cris ‘Cyborg’ Justino and Angela Magana led to a punch being thrown and the police called.

‘Cyborg’ is believed to have confronted Magana outside the fighter’s hotel in Las Vegas on Sunday afternoon due to an ongoing cyber-bullying campaign targeted at her by strawweight fighter ‘Her Majesty.’

Magana allegedly told ‘Cyborg’ that, “I can say whatever the fuck I want,” according to BJPenn.com, while the Brazilian star told her, “you have to respect me.”

“I don’t have to respect you,” Magana responded defiantly. “Fuck you!”

At that stage ‘Cyborg’ is alleged to have punched Magana in the face. BJPenn.com reportedly that Magana was “visibly staggered” by the blow, while MMAFighting’s Ariel Helwani had been told she was “rocked.’

However, Magana’s close friend and fellow UFC fighter Bec Rawlings has since claimed that she wasn’t rocked, though she admitted ‘Her Majesty’ did have a busted lip. Rawlings added that after landing the punch ‘Cyborg’ didn’t attempt to follow up on it and observed that she appeared to have “instant regret” for her actions.

Magana also spoke out about the incident, shooting down claims that she had lost a tooth, but conforming that the police had been called after the altercation.

“I was the victim of roid rage today.”, Magana wrote on Twitter. “Hope it was worth your job. Sue happy lawyers hitting me up left and right now #Cyborg.”

“Lets be clear I did not call cops UFC did,” Magana added. “But I decided to press charges after speaking with them.”

Magana initially made her way to the UFC via ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ Season 20 despite the fact she was coming off two losses prior to that and had been TKO’d by Aisling Daily in the preliminary round of the show.

The 33-year-old hasn’t fared any better in the Octagon since, losing two fights in a row against Tecia Torres and Michelle Waterson, but her habit of posting scantily-clad pictures on her social media accounts has won her some fans regardless.

However, it’s a series of internet posts about ‘Cyborg’ that appear to have sparked off yesterday’s incident, such as the one’s seen below.

Still, with ‘Cyborg’ already having a frosty relationship with the UFC and Magana pressing charges it appears that the Brazilian fighter has hit yet another stumbling block just hours after she had pleaded the promotion to book her a fight with Invicta FC featherweight champion Megan Anderson.

For the record, Bec Rawlings claims she has a video of the altercation, and was last night attempting to sell it to TMZ. That could clear up some alleged eye-witness reports that Magana had, “made a motion towards Cyborg,” before she was punched.
