Cris ‘Cyborg’ Santos Speaks Out About Her Future After Requesting UFC Release

Former Strikeforce 145lb woman’s champion Cris ‘Cyborg’ Santos has spoken out about her future after it emerged late last week that she had requested that the UFC release her from her contract so she can fight elsewhere after failing to agree terms regarding a potential ‘superfight’ with Ronda Rousey.

In the interview with FightHubTV, ‘Cyborg’ maintains her current stance that she won’t cut down to 135lbs, and continues to claim that Rousey is running from her by demanding that she fight at 135lbs despite the fact that ‘Rowdy’ started her MMA career at 145lbs and actually competed at heavier than that during her time in Judo.

The way ‘Cyborg’ sees it, she just wants to fight, whether it’s at 140, 145 or even 155lbs, and if that means she has to go elsewhere to do so then that’s what she’s going to do.
