UFC strawweight fighter Cynthia Calvillo will return to the Octagon against Poliano Botehlo at UFC Fight Night 140 in Buenos Aires, Argentina on November 17th.
Calvillo is coming off a nine month suspension after testing positive for marijuana metabolites following a unanimous decision loss to Carla Esparza at UFC 219 in December of last year.
That also marked the first loss of Calvillo’s seven fight career, including a four-fight winning streak in the UFC that had seen her defeat the likes of Amanda Cooper, Pearl Gonzalez and Joanne Calderwood.
Now Calvillo will go up against Brazil’s Botelho, who has so far compiled a 7-1 record in her MMA career, including back-to-back wins in the UFC against Pearl Gonzalez and Syuri Kondo since joining the promotion in October of last year.
Calvillo Vs Botelho is the first notable fight to be confirmed for the UFC Fight Night 140 event, which will mark the UFC’s first ever visit to Argentina as the look to expand their reach in the South American market.
