Daron Cruickshank Vs KJ Noons Set For TUF 20 Finale

A fight between lightweight strikers Daron Cruickshank and KJ Noons has been announced for the TUF 20 Finale event in Las Vegas on December 12th.

Cruickshank fought this past weekend at UFC Fight Night 54 in Canada, notching up a unanimous decision victory over Anthony Njokuani. That made up for a loss on points to Jorge Masvidal just a few months earlier and leaves ‘The Detroit Superstar’ with a 6-3 record in the UFC overall so far.

Noons is coming off two victories in a row, earning a unanimous decision win over George Sotiropoulos followed by a 30 second knockout victory against Sam Stout back in April.

Prior to that Noons had been in a rut, losing five out of his previous six fights – most of them in the Strikeforce organization – so the 31 year-old will no doubt be relieved to have dug himself out of that particular hole and will be keen to remain in the win column against Cruickshank.

Cruickshank Vs Noons joins previously announced bouts featuring Charles Oliveira Vs Jeremy Stephens and Joe Proctor Vs Yancy Maderios on the TUF 20 Finale which will of course also feature a number of 125lb female fighters from the show including the final which will headline the show and see the first ever UFC strawweight champion crowned.

Over the years I've watched the UFC develop into the powerhouse it is today, organizations like PRIDE, Strikeforce and WEC rise and fall, and Bellator emerge as a new force on the MMA landscape. Throughout it all I've remained captivated by the sport and I'm excited to cover what comes next here on MMA Insight.
