Demetrious Johnson Vs Joseph Benavidez Title Rematch Set For TUF 18 Finale

A flyweight title rematch between current champion Demetrious Johnson and Joseph Benavidez has been scheduled to headline the TUF 18 Finale on November 30th in Las Vegas.

The two men first met in September of last year to establish who would be crowned the flyweight champion and Johnson emerged victorious, though only by split decision.

Since then ‘Mighty Mouse’ has successfully defended his tile against both John Dodson and John Moraga in two strong performances on FOX.

Meanwhile, Benavidez has been in excellent form too, racking up three wins, two by TKO to firmly establish himself as unquestionably the No.1 contender at 125lbs.

The TUF 18 Finale will air on Fox Sports 1, and in addition to Johnson Vs Benavidez II there’s also a lightweight trilogy fight between Nate Diaz and Gray Maynard to look forward to, plus the final of the current season of the long-running reality show.

Over the years I've watched the UFC develop into the powerhouse it is today, organizations like PRIDE, Strikeforce and WEC rise and fall, and Bellator emerge as a new force on the MMA landscape. Throughout it all I've remained captivated by the sport and I'm excited to cover what comes next here on MMA Insight.
