Donald Cerrone has been campaigning to get a spot on the UFC 150 fight card due to the fact it’s taking place in his hometown of Denver, Colorado and the promotion have now granted him his wish.
The only catch is that he’s going to have to face off against one of his team-mates, fellow ‘Jackson’s MMA’ fighter Melvin Guillard in the co-main event of the August 11th show.
Team-mate issue aside it’s an obvious match-up to make between these two entertaining fighters who like to stand and trade, though if it hits the mat then Cerrone has a major advantage with his submission skills.
Cerrone Vs Guillard is the second big lightweight fight to be announced for the card, with the main event set to feature a 155lb title rematch between current champ Ben Henderson and Frankie Edgar.
