Duane Ludwig Suffers Knee Injury; Che Mills Earns TKO Win

The injury-prone Duane ‘Bang’ Ludwig suffered an unfortunate knee injury during his fight tonight with Che Mills at ‘UFC On Fuel TV 5’ that cost him the fight.

The injury occured early in a fight that Mills had been dominating. The Brit had come out all-guns blazing from the opening bell and had pushed Ludwig back with strikes before taking him to the mat.

From their he worked some ground and pound before Ludwig got briefly back to his feet and then was put down again.

Mills continued to work his strikes from side control on Ludwig who was by now bleeding from a cut on his face.

Ludwig tries to struggle back to his feet, but then just falls back down onto his back and signals to the referee that he’s done while grimacing and clutching his knee.

It’s not clear exactly what happened, but it seems Ludwig may have blew his knee out during one of the takedowns from Mills.

So Mills gets the TKO win with 2.28mins on the clock by what appears to have been a freak accident.

This isn’t the first time the unlucky Ludwig’s had a UFC fight end in this fashion – he lost in just 44 seconds against Darren Elkins in 2010 after falling akwardly and breaking his ankle.
