Dustin Poirier Reveals Conor McGregor Never Paid $500,000 Charity Donation

Conor McGregor publically declared multiple times that he would be donating $500,000 to Dustin Poirier’s ‘Good Fight Foundation’, win, lose or draw, leading up to their rematch in January, but now ahead of their trilogy fight in July, ‘The Diamond’ has dropped the bombshell that ‘The Notorious’ never actually paid him.

“That’s a fun prediction!” Poirier responded after reading McGregor claim that he’d KO him with a fourth round front kick in their upcoming fight at UFC 264.

“@TheNotoriousMMA you also predicted a donation to my foundation and you and your team stopped responding after the fight in January.

“See you soon.

“July 10th Paid In Full!”

“We thanked him because his team reached out fight week to initiate the process but ghosted us the past 2 months after the fight,” Poirier continued. “My foundation has reached out 3 times since with no reply. We’ve moved past it! We will be announcing our next goal soon! Its a big one [🙏]

Needless to say McGregor has instantly come under heavy fire for seemingly renaging on the deal, which has led to him confirming the money purposefully wasn’t paid out, claiming that was due to a lack of information from Poirier’s foundation about how the funds would be used.

“A donation, not a debt,” McGregor wrote. “We’ve been awaiting the plans for the money that never came. I do with all my donations. Know where it’s going dot for dot. Otherwise it goes walking. As is the case with a lot of these foundations, sadly. You took the McG over the belt shows I was right.”

Poirier has since responded, claiming that details were sent, but weren’t responded to.

“100% never a debt,” Poirier told McGregor. “You offered, we accepted, and like I said your Team never responded to our emails regarding the process of where funds would be put to work! July 10th you will taste defeat yet Again.”

This is quickly turning into a very ugly situation and though Poirier has claimed that his foundation are moving past it, if this matter isn’t resolved amicably then it feels like it’s a story that’s going to haunt McGregor for a long time to come.
