Floyd Mayweather has rekindled his war of words with Conor McGregor by taunting him over his alleged troubles with the Irish mob last year.
I already fucked you up in 2017 now they about to fuck you up in 2018. You’re about to start your new year off with a bang 🔪🔨⛏💣⚰️ pic.twitter.com/upaRfLbgvJ

It’s curious that Mayweather would bring this up now given that this story first broke back in late November of 2017, but nonetheless, McGregor’s response quickly shut down his boxing rival.
I am the cartel.

Judging by the response on social media, McGregor won this round as Mayweather’s original post has 18,310 retweets and 37,875 likes at the time of writing, while the response from ‘The Notorious’ has 24,000 retweets and 55,000 likes.
McGregor also posted a more crude retaliation on Instagram that quickly generated over a million likes.
McGregor has previously made it known that he would jump at the chance to fight Mayweather for a second time, but with his rival having won their first battle in the ring and then retired several hundred million richer, it seems unlikely he’ll ever have that wish fulfilled.
