Former TUF Star Vinny Magalhaes Re-Signs With The UFC

Former Ultimate Fighter Season 8 finalist Vinny Magalhaes is set to return to the UFC after signing a new multi-fight deal.

The highly-decorated Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu specialist lost in the TUF final to Ryan Bader at the end of 2008 and following a further loss to Eliot Marshall he was released from the promotion.

Since then Magalhaes has fought for a number of other promotions, producing a 7-1 record and most notably becoming M-1 Global’s defending light-heavyweight champion.

Since then the Brazilian has had a public falling out with the M-1 Global promotion which resulted in him putting his belt up for sale on eBay, while he also recently raised a few eyebrows when he agreed to help Chael Sonnen work on his submission defense for his title fight with his fellow countryman Anderson Silva.

While Magalhaes doesn’t have a fight booked yet, it’s rumored he could feature on the UFC 151 card in September.
