Forrest Griffin Out Of UFC 155 Fight With Phil Davis Due To Knee Injury

Forrest Griffin has pulled out of his UFC 155 co-main event clash with Phil Davis after suffering a knee injury in training for the December 29th fight.

“Forrest Has MCL tear and ACL strain. 20 cc’s of blood removed from his knee and the saga continues at the UFC!!” Dana White informed fans just moments ago.

The UFC’s end-of-year card has already been subject to numerous changes, with Chael Sonnen, Chris Weidman and Gray Maynard amongst those who’ve also been withdrawn from the event since it was first announced.

Luckily the main event between Junior Dos Santos and Cain Velasquez remains intact as things stand, but we’ll have to see whether the UFC can rustle up a replacement to fight Davis with only three and a half weeks to go until fight night.
