Francis Ngannou made short work of heavyweight veteran Andrei Arlovski tonight at UFC On FOX 23, producing a TKO finish after just 92 seconds of fighting.
Round One:
Ngannou with a winging overhand right that doesn’t quite meet the target. Arlovski with a leg kick and oblique kick soon after.
Bit of a lull and then a right hook for Arlovski as Ngannou misses on the counter.
Ngannou avoids an overhand right and counters with a grazing left hook and then a big right hook behind it that stiffens Arlovski’s legs and sends him toppling to the canvas.
Still dazed, Arlovski can only turtle up as Ngannou follows him to the ground and starts blasting away with punches and the referee quickly rushes in to put ‘The Pitbull’ out of his misery, handing Ngannou his biggest win to date by TKO.
Ngannou is now on a five fight winning streak and there’s a real sense now that the heavyweight division might finally have a new star on it’s hands.
