Francis Ngannou Submits Anthony Hamilton With Kimura At UFC Fight Night 102

Francis Ngannou wasted no time in finishing Anthony Hamilton tonight at UFC Fight Night 102, with his kimura submission finish coming less than two minutes into the bout.

Round One:

Cautious start from both guys, stalking each other from out-of-range. Body kick misses for Hamilton. Ngannou starting to take the center of the Octagon. He lands a leg kick, but Hamilton immediately looks for a takedown.

Ngannou rolls and gets back to his feet, but Hamilton drives him up against the cage. Ngannou suddenly counters with a kimura attempt and drops to the mat with it.

He continues to crank the kimura with a knee on Hamilton’s belly for leverage and that gets the job done, with his opponent verbally and physically tapping out at 1.57mins of the opening round.

Impressive stuff from rising heavyweight star Ngannou, showing for the first time in the UFC’s Octagon that there’s more to his game than just dangerous striking.
