Francisco Prado TKO’s Ottman Azaitar In 1st Round At UFC On ESPN 49

Francisco Prado came out on top by securing a TKO Finish in a hard-hitting first round against Ottman Azaitar tonight at UFC On ESPN 49.

Round One:

Leg kick for Azaitar. Prado with a calf kick. Now Prado in on a takedown against the cage, but Azaitar defending and gets away.

Calf kick again for Prado. Azaitar goes for one of his own and Prado checked it really well. Azaitar bleeding from his shin now as a result of that! Prado lands his leg kick.

Right hand for Prado. Now he goes into the clinch, but Azaitar lands a strike as he backs out of that.

Body kick attempt from Prado. Body punch and an uppercut from Azaitar looked threatening.

Azaitar into the clinch and Prado throws an elbow. Spinning elbow attempt from Prado. Azaitar with a hard rip to the body.

Step-in jab from Azaitar. He misses with a knee attempt upstairs. Hooks from Prado off the guard and then drives into a spinning elbow that lands and Azaitar sinks to the mat.

Azaitar bleeding from a cut as he has to endure more ground-and-pound. Big hammerfists landing here and the ref has seen enough and that’s it, big TKO win for Prado at 4.05mins of the opening round. Azaitar protests, but he was definitely in a bad spot there.
