Giga Chikadze had a quick night at the office this evening at UFC On ESPN 23 as he sunk Cub Swanson to the canvas with a perfectly placed body kick for the TKO finish just 63 seconds into the fight.
Round One:
Hard low kick from Chikadze to start. Nice left hand from Chikadze as Swanson was trying to close the distance on the taller man.
leg kick for Swanson, but Chikadze lands a nice counter punch. Hard body kick from Chikadze and then another to the liver leaves Swanson grimacing in pain and then sinking to the canvas.
Swanson can’t recover from that blow and as he covers up on his knees and is blasted by punches the ref rushes in to wave off the fight. Big KO win for Chikadze just 63 seconds into the fight!
Chikadze now has six wins in a row since joining the UFC and a highlight reel win over a veteran like Swanson should help take him to the next level in the featherweight division.
