GSP Set To Star In New Captain America Movie

UFC Superstar Georges St.Pierre is the latest MMA fighter to be targeted for a role in a major Hollywood movie with reports emerging that he’ll star in the sequel to ‘Captain America’.

According to the Latino Review website, St.Pierre has been cast as comic book villain ‘Batroc The Leaper’ in the film which will be titled, ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’.

The original movie was a box office hit generating over $350 million and with a cast that includes Chris Evans, Scarlett Johnansen, Robert Redford and Samuel L Jackson there’s no reason to think that the follow-up won’t follow suit.

If true St.Pierre will join the likes of Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson (The A-Team), Randy Couture (The Expendables) and Gina Carano (Haywire / Fast And Furious 6) who’ve also been cast in major motion pictures in recent times.

Hopefully this won’t interfere with GSP’s fight schedule. He’s currently resting up after his latest win over Nick Diaz just a couple of weeks ago and it’s hoped that he’ll be ready within the next six months or so to defend his title against Johny Hendricks, while a superfight with Anderson Silva is also still a possibility.
