Gunnar Nelson and Dong Hyun Kim are set to headline UFC Fight Night 99 in Belfast, Northern Ireland on November 19th.
The Belfast show will be the first of two ‘Fight Night’ events that will air that day, with UFC Fight Night 100 also set to go down later in Brazil.
Nelson comes into this fight off the back of a second round submission win over Albert Tumenov in May.
Prior to that the Icelandic fighter had suffered a convincing loss to Demian Maia, but overall he holds a 6-2 record so far in the UFC and is currently ranked at No.12 in the division.
Kim is positioned two places above him on the welterweight ladder at No.10, and is coming off wins over Josh Burkman and Dominic Waters, though it’ll have been almost a full year since his last fight when he steps in against Nelson in November.
Kim has actually won six of his last seven fights, with his only loss coming to current champion Tyron Woodley during his climb to the top of the division.
Nelson Vs Kim is so far the only fight to be announced for the Belfast show, the first UFC event to be hosted by the city since UFC 72 in 2007.
