Hector Lombard Considering Move To UFC’s Welterweight Division

Hector Lombard arrived in the UFC on a high thanks to a remarkable 25 fight unbeaten run, but he’s found that difficult to replicate on the sport’s biggest stage with just one win in three fights so far.

With that in mind it appear that the former Bellator middleweight champion is now looking to make the drop down to 170lbs in order to kickstart his career again.

To do this Lombard has enlisted the help of renowned dietician Mike Dolce who’s worked successfully to help a number of other fighters cut weight in the past including the likes of Anthony Johnson, Chael Sonnen, Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson and Thiago Alves to name but a few.

Lombard is stocky and carries a lot of muscle on his frame which makes him look like an imposing figure inside the cage, but he’s actually small for the middleweight class at just 5ft 8″ with a relatively short 71″ reach so if he can successfully cut the weight then this could prove to be a smart move for him.
