Invicta FC 29 Results – Sarah Kaufman Crowned New 135lb Champion

Invicta FC 29 took place last night in Kansas City and you can check out all the results below.

In the main event of the evening, Sarah Kaufman was crowned Invicta’s new bantamweight champion after winning the vacant title courtesy of a submission late in the third round against Katharina Lehner.

Kaufman was able to edge out Lehner in the striking exchanges during the fight, but it was in the clinch and on the mat that she was really able to dominate and after coming close to a finish with an arm triangle choke in the second round, the former Strikeforce champion eventually took Lehner down late in the third, transitioned to mount and then the back to cinch in the fight-ending rear-naked choke.

In the co-main event Pannie Kianzad earned her first victory in three years by unanimous decision against Bianca Daimoni, while former UFC fighter Pearl Gonzalez claimed her second win under the Invicta banner with a 90 second armbar submission against Barbara Acioly.
