Jack Della Maddalena put on a striking clinic against Danny Roberts tonight at UFC Fight Night 215, landing combinations with precision accuracy and blistering power on his way to a first round TKO victory.
Round One:
Inside leg kick from Maddalena. Hard left and right hand from Maddalena. Now a solid body punch. Roberts with a leg kick.
Inside calf kick from Maddalena. Now a solid left hand. He’s now working very nicely to the body and head with power punches.
Knee in close from Roberts. Heavy left hand and then an uppercut that floors Roberts. Serious power from Maddalena in these punches!
Maddalena on top now, but Johnson manages to find space and stands back up. Roberts lets his hands go, but Maddalena blocks his punches.
Maddalena threatens with an uppercut. Now a kick too that’s blocked. Maddalena now clinches to land a knee upstairs. Now a big hook.
Double jab from Roberts and then tries to drives in for a takedown, but stalls up against the cage and then Maddalena moves out.
Inside leg kick from Roberts is checked. Maddalena with a thunderous left hook. Another left and then a big blow to the temple with that left. Roberts seems to be audibly groaning in pain as more heavy leather lands and he drops to the canvas.
More blows starting to land on the canvas and that’s it, what an impressive TKO win for Maddalena at 3.24mins of the first round.
