Jake Collier Submits Chase Sherman In First Round At UFC On ESPN 32

Jake Collier made short work of Chase Sherman at UFC On ESPN 32 tonight, troubling him with aggressive punches to start the round and then bloodying him on the mat with elbows before finding a submission finish.

Round One:

Body punch from Collier and then a few punches upstairs land too. He lands another blow. Sherman starts to let his hands go too, but it’s Collier who continues to land cleaner.

Another exchange and Sherman scores with a nice uppercut. Collier continuing to wade forward letting his hand fly.

Collier able to bundle Sherman to the mat after catching a kick and works to full mount. Ground and pound elbows from Collier and Sherman is bleeding from a cut to the forehead.

Sherman trying to escape, but ends up giving his back and Collier takes it and works for a rear-naked choke, which soon produces the tap-out for an early finish here at the 2.26min mark of the opening round.
