Youtuber turned boxing star Jake Paul has confirmed that he has no intention of rematching former UFC fighter Tyron Woodley after his split decision win in their first boxing match earlier this year, despite his rival following through on their pre-fight bet to get a tattoo with his name on it.
“By the time he got the tattoo we had already moved on to fighting Tommy Fury and making that fight negotiation happen,” Paul told TMZ Sports. “I don’t think people really want to see Tyron vs. Jake Paul again. He had his chance.”
However, Paul still appears eager to go up against other MMA stars, with Conor McGregor being someone he expects to fight in the boxing ring at some stage.
“I will fight everybody,” Paul said. “This started with me calling out McGregor. “And people were like ‘this kids crazy, Conor will kill him’. But now this fight could happen within the next 24 months one hundred percent.
“I will beat him, people are seeing how serious I am being about this and are changing the way they think about it.”
Meanwhile, it appears Nate Diaz is also on his hitlist.
“By whose account? (Nate Diaz)’s got the best hands?” Paul asked aloud. “Who said that? This guy has got like 40 losses on his record. (But) yeah, for sure. I’m gonna beat him up into a pulp, no problem, no issue. I’m gonna Stockton Slap the sh*t out of that b*tch.”
Diaz is currently awaiting the last fight on his current UFC deal, which could leave him free to box Paul sometime next year, though before that the YouTuber will go up against an actual boxer in Tommy Fury, the younger half-brother of heavyweight champ Tyson Fury, who holds a 7-0 record.
