Jason Knight got revenge last night over Artem Lobov in their bareknuckle boxing rematch at BKFC 9 in Mississipi.
Lobov had won their previous encounter back in April by decision, but though it was another close, hard fough encounter it was Knight who had the bigger moments this time around.
In the second round Knight was able to put Lobov down on one knee with a right hand, but that didn’t detter him and in the rounds that followed he was keeping things very competitive and Knight’s work rate was slowing down.
However, then early in the final round Knight caught Lobov with a left hand and after a delayed reaction Lobov sunk to the canvas, resulting in the TKO stoppage. Lobov appeared to be having difficulty with his left eye, which was badly cut.
other results on the night included Joey Beltran defeating Chase Sherman in the co-main event by unanimous decision to claim the heavyweight title, while Johnny Bedford emerged with a TKO victory over Charles ‘Krazyhorse’ Bennett after his opponent was unable to continue due to a broken hand.
