Jason Mayhem Miller Comes In 24lbs Overweight For Fight In Italy

Troubled fighter Jason ‘Mayhem’ Miller was on the brink of an MMA fighter this weekend, with a middleweight title opportunity against another former UFC fighter Luke Barnatt set to go down at Venator FC II in Italy, but as always with ‘Mayhem’, things didn’t exactly go according to plan.

At today’s weigh-ins for the show, ‘Mayhem’ came in a mind-boggling 24lbs overweight for the bout, tipping the scales at 209lbs, while Barnatt was right on the 185lb limit.

It was an embarrassing spectacle to see, particularly as ‘Mayhem’ tried to feign surprise and then took off his shorts before weighing in again as if that would make any difference.

Needless to say the fight has now been cancelled, and while you have to feel sorry for Barnatt, it’s hard to say the same for Venator FC, who surely knew exactly what they were getting when they signed Miller. After all the fighter’s behavior has become increasingly erratic over the years, leading to multiple arrests in the United States, including as recently as just two months ago.

Venator FC II will also feature shamed fighter Rousimar Palhares despite his horrific reputation for holding on to submissions after his opponents tap, which in the past led to him being released by both the UFC and WSOF, not to mention the fact that he’s currently banned from competing in the U.S.
