Jason ‘Mayhem’ Miller Fired From UFC After Backstage Incident Following UFC 146

Jason ‘Mayhem’ Miller’s
fighting future in the UFC looked in serious doubt last night after another poor performance at UFC 146 in a loss to CB Dollaway, but the final nail in the coffin came after an incident backstage following the fight.

Details of what happened are scarce, with UFC president Dana White simply saying, “Something happened backstage afterwards … ‘Mayhem’ is done.”

The former Strikeforce star had already been on shaky ground with the UFC after an extremely lackluster performance against Michael Bisping last year that White declared as one of the worst fights he’d ever seen, and despite continuing to talk a big game pre-fight and continuing his showboating antics of old inside and outside of the cage, the truth is Miller didn’t look a whole lot better last night.

In fact, following his lopsided decision loss to Dollaway, White wrote, “THAT SUCKED!!!”

Prior to the fight ‘Mayhem’ had boldly stated that he would retire if he couldn’t beat Dollaway and last night White told Ariel Helwani, “I think that’s a great idea.”
