A light-heavyweight match-up between Jimi Manuwa and Corey Anderson has been targeted for the UFC Fight Night 108 event in London, England on March 18th.
Manuwa recorded the biggest win of his career last time out at UFC 204 in October when he knocked out former interim title contender Ovince Saint Preux in the second round.
Prior to that the Brit had been KO’d himself in a fight with Anthony Johnson and been out of action for over a year afterwards, but the 36 year-old’s return to winning ways has left him holding down the No.5 spot on the 205lb rankings heading into 2017.
Former TUF winner Anderson came out on the wrong end of a split decision against Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua at UFC 198 in May of last year, but he bounced back with a TKO victory over Sean O’ Connell in December that’s left him with a 6-2 record in the UFC and left him placed at No.9 in the divisional rankings, with plenty of room to rise further in the coming year if results go his way.
Manuawa Vs Anderson is the biggest fight attached to the Fight Pass exclusive event in London so far, though at this stage it’s not clear whether it will take the headline spot.
