A light-heavyweight fight between Jimmy Crute and Jamahal Hill has been rescheduled for UFC Fight Night 199 on December 4th after originally targeted for October 2nd.
Crute is coming off a TKO loss to Anthony Smith last time out, which occurred when he suffered ‘foot drop’ as the result of calf kicks he’d endured in the first round, leaving him unable to continue.
Prior to that, Crute had been on a two-fight winning streak, having finished both MichaĆ Oleksiejczuk and Modestas Bukauskas, which leaves him with an overall 4-2 record in the UFC so far and a spot on the official light-heavyweight rankings at No.14.
Hill is also coming off an unusual TKO loss last time out against Paul Craig, which saw him suffer a dislocated elbow due to an armbar attempt, yet still continue to fight on with his arm sickeningly flopping around, until he was finished by elbow strikes while still trapped in the submission hold.
That was the first loss of Hill’s 10-fight career, having put together two wins and a no-contest in his other UFC outings, including a TKO finish over Ovince Saint Preux late last year, which helps him still hang onto the No.15 spot on the 205lb ladder heading into this fight.
Crute vs Hill joins a UFC Fight Night 199 card that is only starting to be put together, but also has a lightweight fight between Brad Riddell and Rafael Fiziev in the line-up.
