A lightweight scrap between Joe Lauzon and Michael Johnson has been confirmed for the UFC’s first event on the FOX Sports 1 channel on August 17th.
The event takes place in Boston, so local hero Lauzon was always expected to play a part on it and he’ll be looking to bounce back from a loss to Jim Miller back In December in which was later to be crowned 2012’s ‘Fight Of The Year’.
Johnson will also be looking to get back to winning ways after a three fight winning streak was brought to a halt with back-to-back defeats over the past few months.
Lauzon Vs Johnson is the second fight to be made official for the event after Matt Brown Vs Thiago Alves, and at this stage it’s not clear whether it’s been earmarked for a spot on the main card or not.
