Jon Fitch Set To Sign For World Series Of Fighting

Jon Fitch has bounced back quickly from the shock of being released by the UFC and appears to have found a new promotion to call home.

According to upstart promotion World Series Of Fighting’s head honcho Ray Sefo, Fitch will sign for them in due course with the fighter having already verbally agreed to a deal with them.

Fitch had originally been linked with a move to Bellator, but that idea was quickly shot down by the promotion’s CEO Bjorn Rebney who indicated they weren’t interested in signing the UFC veteran.

With that in mind WSOF was one of the obvious alternatives as despite the fact that they are a relatively new promotion on the scene with just one fight under their belts, they have recently sealed a deal to have their live events broadcast on NBC Sports.

Fitch joins the likes of Andrei Arlovski, Anthony ‘Rumble’ Johnson, Aaron Simpson and Tyrone Spong who are currently plying their trade in WSOF’s ranks.

According to Sefo, Fitch is being earmarked for a fight in the summer, and the promotion are currently looking to add to their roster with more signings from the list of recently released UFC fighters being on their radar.
