Yesterday we reported that UFC light-heavyweight champion Jon Jones had claimed that his upcoming opponent Chael Sonnen had, “done steroids for his entire career,” during an interview on the UFC Tonight show, and it appears he’s now looking to backtrack from those remarks.
“I had no right to accuse chael of being a career long steroid user I apologize. See what had happened was….” Jones wrote on Twitter.
Meanwhile, Jones has been showing off his new merchandise courtesy of his sponsor Nike, including a new branded shoe line which goes on sale tomorrow.
Jones will no doubt be sporting this new gear when he walks into the arena at UFC 159 to settle his differences with Sonnen on April 27th.
