Jordan Mein rose to the challenge in his most high-profile bout to date at UFC Fight Night 49 this evening by TKO’ing Mike Pyle in just 72 seconds.

Round One:

Pyle lands first with a leg kick. He reaches in on a takedown attempt but Mein backs up away from it. Back to it they go and Pyle tries again with another attempt to take Mein down, but again it’s unsuccessful.

Mein with a hard leg kick. Mein fakes a takedown and then comes upstairs with a cuffing hook and then another behind it that lands much cleaner and floors Pyle.

Mein follows his rocked opponent to the mat and uncorks some vicious left and right hands to seal a fast technical knockout victory here in the co-main event with just 72 seconds gone!

Very nice win for Mein against an experienced veteran who had lost only one of his last six fights prior to ths evening.
