Travis Browne Knocks Out Josh Barnett With Elbows At UFC 168

Travis Browne made short work of Josh Barnett tonight at UFC 168 tonight in Las Vegas, with a series of nasty elbows taking out the grizzled veteran.

Round One:

They’re off and exchanging heavy leather straight away with a hook landing for Browne.

They clinch up and Barnett attempts to get Browne up against the cage, but he circles out of danger quickly.  Barnett then tries to go for a takedown, but it’s stuffed.

Browne is throwing hard here and Barnett doesn’t look like he’s enjoying that at all and tries to dip in for another takedown attempt, but runs into one of his opponent’s knees in the process.

On his knees Barnett is looking dazed, but still trying for the takedown.  However, Browne has other plans and rains down some completely brutal elbows to Barnett’s temple.

It’s not apparent at first, but Barnett’s actually out cold and it becomes clear as the ref ends the fight and Browne moves away while his opponent slumps in a bloody heap onto the mat.

And that was that, Browne takes out Barnett in precisely a minute of exciting heavyweight action.
