Ultimate Fighter Season 18 winner Julianna Pena was arrested on Sunday morning after a fight outside a bar in Spokane, Washington where she lives and trains.
According to a police report Pena was charged with two counts of assault after being arrested at 2.20am on Sunday morning. One other person was also arrested at the scene.
12 hours later Pena was released on $2,000 bail. If convicted of assault, the 26 year-old could face up to 364 days in jail and / or up to a $5,000 fine.
According to the UFC’s Senior VP of Public Relations, Dave Scholler, the UFC are aware of Pena’s situation and are currently in the process of gathering more information.
Pena emerged victorious on TUF 18 back in 2013, becoming the first ever female winner of the show. A few months later she suffered severe knee damage during a training room accident which left her out of action for over a year.
Pena returned to action earlier this year and picked up where she had left off, defeating Milana Dudieva by first round TKO and then earning her biggest win to date against Jessica Eye by unanimous decision at UFC 192 back in October.
Pena is currently ranked No.6 in the woman’s bantamweight division and holds an overall 7-2 career record.
