Kimbo Slice And Ken Shamrock Fail Bellator 149 Drug Tests

Both Kimbo Slice and Ken Shamrock failed pre-fight drug tests prior to Bellator 149 the promotion has revealed.

At this stage the Texas Department Of Licensing And Regulation hasn’t announced exactly what substances the two fighters tested positive for due to, “potential pending litigation.”

The 42 year-old Kimbo won his exceptionally sloppy co-main fight with Dada 5000 by third round TKO on the night, but that result has now been overturned to a no contest.

Meanwhile, the 52 year-old Shamrock lost his trilogy fight with Royce Gracie who TKO’d him in the opening round.

Bellator drew record ratings for Bellator 149, but there’s no doubt that it was more of a circus act than a card befitting of a leading MMA promotion and both the fights themselves and the post-fight fall out has left the promotion with egg on their faces.

Kimbo Vs Dada 5000 is already considered to be one of the worst fights of all time with both men not only showing a lack of technique, but also gassing out by the end of the opening round.

Along with Kimbo’s failed drug test there was also a major health scare for his opponent, real name Dhafir Harris who was rushed to hospital afterwards with renal failure.

Harris’ heart reportedly stopped beating while in hospital and he wasn’t able to leave the faciility until a week later.
