Lavar Johnson Released From The UFC following Failed Drugs Test

Yesterday we brought you news that Lavar Johnson’s post-fight drug test at UFC 157 revealed that he had elevated levels of testosterone and it’s now been confirmed that he’s been released from the organization as a result.

Despite having lost his last two fights, Johnson had revealed following his last bout that the UFC were going to keep him on the roster, but the failed drug test has now resulted in the promotion changing their mind and opting to release him instead.

In addition to no longer having a job, Johnson also faces a nine month suspension before he’ll be allowed to compete in MMA again.
