Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua Demolishes James Te Huna At UFC Fight Night 33

Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua served a notice to the rest of the light-heavyweight division that he’s far from done tonight at ‘UFC FIght Night 33’ as he knocked out James Te Huna in devastating fashion in the first round.

Round One

We’re underway in the co-main event of the evening. ‘Shogun’ starts with a quick leg kick. He then moves in aggressively with a short barrage of blows.

‘Shogun’ continues to get off first with a punch and then a body kick. Te Huna throws a few punches to set-up a takedown attempt, but the Brazilian stuffs the attempt.

They look to exchange again and it’s Te Huna who looks to land first, but his uppercut misses and ‘Shogun’ counters with a left hook that crumples the Aussie to the canvas in a heap, unconscious.

‘Shogun’ takes no chances and drops down with a massive blow to his grounded opponent before the referee dives in to end the fight with just 63 seconds on the clock.
