Megan Anderson KO’s Norma Dumont Viana In First Round At UFC Fight Night 169

Megan Anderson claimed a big win tonight over Norma Dumont Viana at UFC Fight Night 169, knocking her out with a right hand in the opening round.

Round One:

Early exchange of punches at close range. Viana swinging hard again but not finding the target. However, Viana moves into the clinch against the cage.

Viana landing a few knees to the legs as she continues to work for an opportunity to land a takedown. Anderson now reversing the clinch, but Viana quickly gains the upperhand again.

Another hard knee to the thigh from Viana. Now shes’s working on a single leg and does get Anderson to the mat, but it’s Anderson who manages to get on top and stands, but Viana is back pressing her to the cage.

Finally Anderson gets away from the cage and back to striking range. Viana steps in to range just as Anderson unleashes a right hand and it drops the Brazilian to the mat!

Viana dazed on the cavas and as Anderson moves in to land more blows the referee ends the fight. Big knockout win for Anderson with only 3.31mins on the clock!
