Melvin Guillard Vows To Knockout His Friend Donald Cerrone At UFC 150

UFC 150’s co-main event between Melvin Guillard and Donald Cerrone looks to be a barnburner on paper and is made even more interesting by the fact that the two are friends and former training partners at Jackson’s MMA.

That bond isn’t going to get in the way of Guillard’s standard M.O however, which is to finish his opponent as fast and decisively as possible.

“I hope I knock him out, you know,” Guillard says in his UFC 150 pre-fight interview. “I mean he’s my buddy, but you know, I’ll pick him up and dust him off.”

It’s a bout that has all the makings of a ‘Fight Of The Night’ winner and that’s a fact that’s not escaped Guillard.

“I don’t even really want it to be a technical fight. I want to turn it into an all-out brawl. I know right now that’s probably what the fans want to see and we can make it the fight of the night ‘cus we’re just going to get in their and brawl it out, and I don’t have a problem with that at all.”
