If UFC middleweight and welterweight champions Michael Bisping and Tyron Woodley get there way, they’ll be competing against each other in a catchweight bout later this year.
Video footage from backstage at UFC 207 shows the pair discussing the possibility of fighting each other, before settling on 180lbs as a landing spot for the so-called ‘superfight’.
Of course, despite what the two title holders have to say about it, the UFC might not have any interest in this match-up, particularly as they both have plenty of challengers remaining in their respective divisions.
For instance, most people are assuming that Woodley will make his next 170lb title defense in a rematch with Stephen Thompson, who he fought to a majority draw with late last year.
On the other hand, there’s a queue of fighters at 185lbs waiting to fight Bisping, including the likes of Yoel Romero and Ronaldo ‘Jacare’ Souza.
Nevertheless, you can watch Bisping and Woodley attempt to make the UFC matchmakers jobs easier in the video footage below.
