Michael Bisping Out; Uriah Hall In Against Robert Whittaker At UFC 193

The UFC 193 stadium show in Melbourne, Australia next month has suffered a blow with the news that Michael Bisping has had to pull out of his main card fight with Robert Whittaker due to an elbow injury that requires surgery.

The promotion have reacted quickly to the news however, with Uriah Hall now being drafted in take on Whittaker instead.

Hall is of course coming off a huge win last weekend against Gegard Mousasi in which he produced a highlight-reel worthy TKO finish courtesy of a spinning back kick followed up by a flying knee.

As a result the previously unranked Hall, who’s now won five of his last six fights, has now leapt up to No.10 on the official middleweight rankings, four places above his next opponent Whittaker.

Given the circumstances it’s a solid replacement, though Hall doesn’t yet have Bisping’s level of star power or his natural ability to hype of a fight with his outspoken attitude which could have proved useful as the UFC tries to sell enough tickets to break their attendance record.

So, Hall keeps the main card intact alongside top tier title fights featuring Ronda Rousey Vs Holly Holm and Joanna Jedrzejczyk Vs Valerie Letourneau, plus other attractions like Mark Hunt Vs Antonio Silva II and Stefan Struve Vs Jared Rosholt.
