Michael Bisping UFC 152 Pre-Fight Video Interview

Never short of a word or two, Michael Bisping has been chatting about his fight with Brian Stann at UFC 152 in a new video interview with UFC.com.

In some respects Bisping and Stann could be seen as representing their countries in this fight with each man being fiercely proud of their respective UK and US roots, but ‘The Count’ doesn’t buy into that and only sees the man stood in front of him.

“This isn’t UK Vs America, this is Michael Bisping vs Brian Stann, you know? It’s an individual sport, and come the 22nd I’m going to individually kick the crap out of Brian Stann.

A lot is made of Stann’s decorated past in the military, but when the Octagon door closes Bisping feels it’s his greater fighting experience inside the cage that will pay dividends.

“When he was in basic training and shining his boots I was in the UFC kicking arse. I’m getting better and better with every fight, I’m maturing as a fighter. I feel I’m in my prime and I’m ready to beat Brian Stann and then take that title.

“He’s not training as hard as me, he can’t train as hard as me. I’ve done this my whole life, and regardless of where the fight takes place, September 22nd I’m coming for him, and he knows that.”

Bisping’s punching power is something that’s often criticized, but while he acknowledges his opponent is a heavy hitter, he believes he can give as good as he gets.

“He’s got decent punching power, that’s what I’m going to have to watch out for. I can punch pretty hard myself. Get two guys as big as we are who’ve done martial arts or some kind of training for as long as we have and you put four ounce gloves on, anybody’s got the ability to knock someone out, and if he thinks I can’t knock him out then the guy is f*cking crazy.”

Bisping’s clearly in a determined mood and he feels that a win over Stann could earn him his long desired dream to fight for the title, and he thinks he can give the champ a run for his money.

“I want my shot. People have had their shot – bums have had their shot, stepped in their and fallen over with a little slap – I won’t do that. I’ll turn up to fight. Anderson Silva will be in the fight of his life when we fight. And we will fight, we will fight – I will beat Brian Stann and I will fight Anderson Silva.”
