A welterweight fight between Michael Chiesa and Sean Brady is in the works for UFC Fight Night 198 on November 20th in Las Vegas.
Chiesa is looking to get back on the horse after suffering a first round submission loss to Vicente Luque a little under a month ago.
That brought an end to a strong 4-0 start to the former lightweight’s run in the welterweight division, during which he’d picked up wins over Neil Magny, Rafael dos Anjos, Diego Sanchez and Carlos Condit.
As such, Chiesa is still placed at No.7 in the 170lb rankings heading into this fight against the No.13 ranked Brady.
However, though Brady may be further down the ladder, his career record is currently unblemished, having put together a 14-0 run, including a four-fight winning streak in the UFC so far.
That run in the Octagon saw him earn submission wins over both Jake Matthews and Christian Aguilera, along with decision victories against Ismail Naurdiev and Court McGee, paving the way for a step up to higher-ranked competition.
Chiesa vs. Brady is not yet officially announced, but would join a UFC Fight Night 198 card that’s still under construction, but is also set to feature Joanne Calderwood vs. Alexa Grasso.
