Michelle Waterson Out Of UFC 194 Fight With Tecia Torres

‘The Karate Hottie’ Michelle Waterson has been forced out of her UFC 194 strawweight fight with Tecia Torres on December 12th in Las Vegas due to an injury.

The fight had been set to take place on the televised portion of the preliminary portion of the stacked card and was seen as an important fight for the 115lb weight class.

A former Invicta FC atomweight champion, the 29 year-old Waterson produced a one-sided submission victory over Angela Magana in her UFC debut back in July and was now looking to break into the division’s top 10 if she could overcome a significant step up in competition against Torres next month.

UFC officials are believed to be on the hunt for a late replacement opponent for Torres who’s currently ranked No.5 in the division with two victories under her belt so far in the Octagon against the aforementioned Magana and Angela Hill, leaving the 26 year-old with a perfect 6-0 record to date.

UFC 194 is all set to be one of the biggest events of a highly successful year for the promotion, headlined by the long-awaited featherweight title unification bout between Jose Aldo and Conor McGregor together with a middleweight title fight between Chris Weidman and Luke Rockhold.
