Originally it was reported that former UFC star Miguel Torres was heading to Titan Fighting Championships for his next fight, but instead he’s now signed a three-fight deal with the World Series Of Fighting.
WSF are a new promotion on the scene, fronted by former K-1 star Ray Sefo and they are believed to be ready to make an immediate impact with a television deal with NBC Sports (formerly Versus) believed to be in the works.
A quick scan through their roster unearths familar names like Roger Huerta, John Gunderson, Thales Leites and Tyrone Spong.
If it is indeed true that the show will end up on the rebadged Versus network then it makes sense that they were keen to sign Torres as he was once a ratings draw for that channel back in his days as the WEC’s bantamweight champion.
Torres has suffered a slump in form since then however, mustering just a 2-2 record in the UFC before being released.
